LOLER lift inspections are through examinations that are a legal requirement for
any workplace that uses lifting equipment, LOLER inspections are crucial in
preventing injuries and accidents. Lifting equipment used to lift people is
generally required to be inspected every 6 months with other lifting equipment
requiring inspections every 12 months.

| PUWER and LOLER Telehandler Requirements |
One of our specialties are LOLER and PUWER inspections and thorough examinations
on a wide range of Telehandlers. Telehandlers and their attachments require
LOLER and PUWER compliance for different reasons.
LOLER Compliance
If a Telehandler is equipped with any lifting attachments it’s SWL (safe working
load) must be clearly marked and its attachments must undergo regular LOLER
thorough examinations.
PUWER Compliance
The actual Telehandler itself including any non-lifting attachments must meet
PUWER requirements. The telehandler must be deemed fit for purpose, inspected
periodically and regularly maintained by a competent person, it can only be
operated by trained personnel.
