Established in 1993, CBL provide innovative natural solutions to the growing problems of pollution... in particular to those arising from the discharge of effluents and wastes into the environment. The company breeds and acclimatises a variety of naturally occurring micro-organisms from which products are then formulated for use in the degradation of specific wastes. They are leaders in the field of biomass engineering and currently are providing solutions to pollution control problems in the UK, Europe, United States, South America, Middle and Far East and the Pacific Region. Areas of Expertise The company has within its organisation a broad range of complementary qualifications, skills and experience in the treatment of wastes and effluents. With its staff of hands-on microbiologists and chemical engineers the distinguishing feature of CBL is its understanding of the biochemistry of the customer's waste stream or pollution problem. This is the starting point for the work that CBL undertakes. Around this understanding the Company will design solutions to customer's problems. Solutions can involve biomass engineering, the provision of treatment plants/systems, a combination of both or modifications to existing treatment processes. The Company has experience in evaluating, developing, piloting, installing and operating a wide range of biological and chemical waste water treatment technologies, in land remediation and in the biological degradation of solid wastes. CBL is wholly independent of any proprietary technology and can therefore evaluate in an unbiased fashion the most cost effective treatment technology for any particular application.
