Atom Sprayworks

Founded by myself Andrew Hopkins who has a BA Hons in Visual communication/Illustration and 15 years of experience as a Graphic Designer within the cycle industry. Experienced in airbrushing radio controlled car bodies and BMX frames.

I gained invaluable skills while being taught by Piers Dowell - the UK’s most renowned photorealism and custom motorcycle helmet painter. Then working for Flying Tiger Paintwork, now Cerakote UK prepping and painting multiple projects.

After taking on multiple projects and paid commissions, I set up Atom Sprayworks, recognising an opening in the market for a quality and efficient painting service. Here each product is created to the highest standard, making sure the customers vision is at the forefront of the design process. With my creative background and technical knowledge, everything that comes to Atom Sprayworks, whether a bike frame, helmet, scale model or canvas, is transformed into a work of art.

A keen cyclist, model flyer and motorsport fan I have a vested interest in all things related. I’ve been commissioned to paint a number of bike frames, motorsport helmets and RC aircraft. This enables me to combine my passions for design and painting.

Custom Painted
The custom painting process itself is extremely exciting and can be used on a whole range of substrates in different colours, textures and finishes. The only limiting factor is our imagination, everything that comes to Atom Sprayworks, whether a bike frame, helmet, scale model or canvas, is transformed into a work of art.

We have expert knowledge of all plastic materials including:

Substrate Preparation
Chemical stripping, sanding, shot or bead blasting we are able to best assess and prepare your substrate for excellent mechanical and chemical adhesion.
