Ranheat
Engineering
Ltd design, manufacture and install a wide range of industrial and agricultural
wood and Biomass fuelled heating systems.
Typical the boilers and heaters are widely used in the furniture and woodworking
industry to provide space and process heating using timber and wood residue from
the owners manufacturing. Wood in the form of offcuts, sawdust and shavings is
extracted from the woodworking machinery and the air used is then filtered and
the woodwaste separated and transferred to a storage silo. The wood is then
screw fed into the boiler or heater and burned at high temperatures.
The
design of the combustion chamber is to maximise energy release and to destroy
the Carbon Monoxide, typically Ranheat units run with single figure levels of CO
emission.
Not all companies are as lucky as those in the woodworking industry, as to have
such a easily utilised fuel available, on site to provide the company with a
small carbon footprint. However there is an increasing supply network emerging
in the UK for regular supplies of wood in the form of pellets, that can be
delivered to users on a regular basis.
Ranheat systems are designed to work on all forms of Bio-mass not just wood and
this includes Straw and other agricultural residues.
Projects under consideration include providing wood fired heating to schools,
hospitals, nursing homes, large houses and estates. Huge potential exists in
rural areas where bio-mass is freely and readily available.
Ranheat’s origins come from Randers in Denmark. The Danes had for centuries used
wood as heating for homes and workplaces. For the past 18 years Ranheat’s
production has been in Northampton England, centrally located to cover the whole
of the country. Ranheat is a 100% British owned family b usiness
that employs around 35 people. It has a design and production team as well as a
dedicated service department. Ranheat uses the latest machinery including CNC
plasma profiling and CNC brake-press to ensure high quality products designed to
suit each customers individual needs.
Each installation is purpose designed and built, then delivered and installed by
Ranheat’s own staff who also undertake the mechanical, pipe-work and electrical
installation.
Ranheat still has strong links with Denmark and the larger installations utilise
Danstoker Multimiser
boilers,
Ranheat provide turn-key projects in sizes ranging from 150 kW output up to 4 MW
output.
Ranheat also provide a full planning application service via the planning portal
and liaise with the local authority with regard to permits and approvals
required under IPC.
