A highlight is the revolutionary range of ultrasonic piezo "Squiggle" motors from New Scale Technologies. The SQL-1.8-6 claims to be the smallest linear motor in the world, with a body measuring just 1.8 x 1.8 x 6mm. This tiny motor delivers an impressive 30 grammes of force and 6mm of travel at up to 7mm per second, enabling our customers to create advanced research tools and highly miniaturised products. Squiggle motors are available in non-magnetic and vacuum-compatible versions.

We also offer piezo actuators, manual and motorised translation stages, motor controllers and voice coil linear actuators.
The latter are high speed, closed-loop linear motors with the unique inherent feature of force control. These are ideal for optical scanning, precision positioning and dimensional metrology applications and are available with resolutions as high as 5nm.

Our versatile motion controllers are able to drive most types of motor, including stepper, brushed DC servo, brushless DC (BLDC) servo, voice coil and linear motors, with only a software change. This means that the same control system can be applied across all positioning applications and allows for future motor upgrades. The optional CAN-bus interface allows connectivity with many industry-standard devices and enables a multiple axis control system to be built up in a modular fashion.
