With e-billing, our online energy service, you save time that was wasted by chasing and filing lost bills. E-billing allows you to review your entire invoice history in one secure online account. We have two electricity products for our corporate customers. Opus Evolution offers greater purchasing power to larger businesses and organisations. It puts the energy market at your fingertips, as you choose how much energy to buy, potentially saving money when the energy market fluctuates. We also offer fixed tariffs to all our corporate consumers, known as Opus Fixed. This gives you the chance to fix the price of your energy at the start of your contract, to guard against rising prices further down the line. It offers security and peace of mind in a volatile market. For customers generating their own renewable power, we offer to buy some of that energy under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). We also work with developers to provide them with support in order to develop energy generating sites.

Opus Energy is dedicated to sourcing a lot of its energy from cleaner, lower-carbon sources. From April 2009 to March 2012, 72% of our energy came from cleaner, lower-carbon sources – 45% from renewable generators and 26% from cleaner Combined Heat and Power (CHP) produced by CHP generators.

If you’re an Opus Energy customer, you’re entitled to a free smart meter. We’ll even fit it for you, for no extra cost. There are many advantages to having a smart meter, including more accurate billing and the ability to record your energy use in real time. All meter readings are taken remotely and automatically every month, which means you don’t have to take time out for readings. You’ll get precise monthly billing data with no estimated bills. This allows you to predict your future energy usage and take measures to keep your costs down.

In addition, smart meters let you monitor your organisation’s environmental impact, and help meet your environmental targets. The Carbon Trust says businesses which use smart meters reduce their consumption by 12.3% per annum on average.
