Much of our production uses fully automated processing and many of our wide range of machines are microprocessor or computer controlled. These automatically wind, bond, solder, lead cut and terminate during the winding cycle.

Universal winding facilities for small and medium size batches are available on various types of single spindle machines that require a minimum of tooling and setting-up costs. Batches of 10 – 60,000 units per week are typical production runs. All sizes and varieties of coil from sub-miniature to 100 VA transformers can be supplied.

Technical staff:

Technical staff can assist, advise and participate in design and development by working in partnership with our customer’s design engineers. NDE are always willing to produce samples or prototype batches as soon as design and material specifications have been finalised. Our QA Department oversees all production aspects from the selection of the required materials to the checking of windings throughout the production run.

NDE recognises the wide diversity of its customer base. Quality Assurance requirements therefore cover many different market sectors with differing mandatory compliance. To support these requirements we have a flexible approach towards integrating customer specific needs. This allows a custom solution using standard tools such as SPC, PPAP and FAIR or co-developing agreed product build standards.
