11 May 2011 - Yamazaki Mazak UK Limited
Bringing it Back to
Britain promotes UK engineering businesses, particularly those that
work in key sectors. Embracing much of the engineering supply chain,
the event includes: Precision Machinists, Toolmakers, Moulders,
Metrologists, Press Manufacturing, Cad/Cam Software, Cutting Tools,
Jig and Fixtures & Workholding equipment.
Over the last year the trend has been for large OEMs to reconsider
their policies with regards to outsourcing. Companies have reported
work returning to the UK which previously would have been placed in
low cost economies. This exciting reversal of business strategy is
in the wake of the cost implications of project managing overseas
production and the benefits of British engineering expertise.
