delivery service. Our product range includes bitumen boilers, also known as tar
boilers, tar kettles, tar pots or bitti pots. We also manufacture and supply
tools and accessories for flat roofing, hot melt and hot pour sealants, tarmac
and 'blacktop' work, road building, civil engineering, waterproofing, road
repairs and road reinstatement. Equipment is also available for trenching, cable
laying, loop detection, anti-skid material and slot cutting and jointing,
together with specialist boilers for resins, waxes and low temperature sealants.
The company also supplies a range
of bitumen, overbanding and edge and slot sealing and jointing tools, tarmac
tool heaters and accessories such as armoured gas hoses, speciality burners and
flame torches.
Farvis has an extensive range of static and mobile boilers including
trolley mounted bitumen boilers and fast tow and road going trailer boilers.
These are all built to provide a very strong and robust unit with built in
safety shields and protected gas cylinder mountings.
Farvis
also manufacture the 'Propamiser' bitumen boiler thermostat control system. This
is the industry standard thermostat control for bitumen boilers, tarmac hot
boxes, asphalt heaters and industrial equipment. Propamiser was developed to
provide the complete answer to temperature and
safety controls for LPG equipment on site. It is entirely self powered and
requires no electrical supply or batteries and is capable of highly accurate
monitoring of sealant temperature together with automatic temperature control. A
flame supervision unit also monitors the burner to prevent an escape of gas if
the pilot burner is extinguished. Propamiser is simple to use and has adjustable
temperature control, built in thermometer and gas pressure gauge and easy to use
controls. Propamiser is available for LPG hermostat control equipment and is
available for OEM manufacturers. Propamiser is built entirely in the UK by
Farvis Ltd and is suitable for high pressure LPG equipment up to 2 bar (30
psi )input pressure. As the Propamiser is made by Farvis, all spares are
available and units can be repaired and recalibrated in their dedicated
workshops.
The
Farvis group of companies were founded in 1840 and have been under the
ownership of the founders descendants ever since. The Company was started in to
supply ironwork and forgings for I K Brunel, the Victorian Engineer and
subsequently expanded into civil engineering equipment before specialising in
bitumen and sealant heating equipment. Farvis invented the 'Target
Impact' burner and used this to design and produce the first gas fired bitumen
boilers and mastic asphalt heaters. Farvis developed the first thermostat
control system for small bitumen boilers and went on to manufacture the CTS
Propamiser control system which is now made exclusively by Farvis.
Farvis also hold the second oldest 'Calor Approval' for LPG equipment.
Farvis also supply LPG bar burners and slot burners, specialist LPG
burners for film and special effects, special purpose LPG burners, armoured gas
hose, LPG fittings and burners for specialist industrial ovens and kilns. All
equipment is for industrial use only.
