Dipec was formed in 1981 and is one of the leading fabrication companies in the South West. We are creative acrylic craftsmen who offer a comprehensive service for affordable acrylic products and pride ourselves on quality, service and attention to detail. Materials may be cut, shaped, glued, formed and bent to a very high standard.

At Dipec we manufacture quality fabricated products using PETG, Acrylics, Polycarbonate and much, much more. Using our impressive CNC machines and fabrication skills, we are confident that we can deliver a quality product to meet customer specification, expectation and their required timescales.

Dipec have a team of fabricators who are dedicated to delivering excellence. Our drive to succeed and willingness to think “outside the box” enables us to undertake projects from concept to delivery and our creative thinking is balanced with our in-depth knowledge of Acrylics and plastics and also their suitability. We have fabricated a wide range of creative and decorative products for various business and private sectors and work with clients to achieve a product that not only looks great but is practical and also affordable. We have also undertaken projects using other materials such as M.D.F. and Chip Board primarily for Exhibition Companies and their customers.

SERVICES PROVIDED:-

CNC Machining:-
A heavy duty, multi head CNC Router with tool change facilities is available which is capable of machining panels any size to a maximum of 3000mm x 1500mm. This is used for products such as Bomb Trolleys, Test Rigs, Supermarket Screens and many more projects.

Engraving:-
A small pacer machine is used to engrave various products from illuminated fruit machine panels through to hair dressing displays and much more.

Drilling:-
Pillar drills are used for drilling, tapping, counter sinking and counter boring various products.

Welding:-
We have the facility to plastic weld Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyurethane, Polycarbonate and PVC.

Diamond, Flame & Mop Polishing:-
Diamond Polishing is a machined polish finish and is the cheapest way to edge finish acrylic.
Flame Polishing is a fast & cost effective way which ensures a good polished finish with a hand safe edge.
Mop Polishing is used to give a very high standard, hand finished result to a finished product.

Line Bending (Hot Wire Bending):-
Line bending uses a hot wire heating element to achieve large or small radius bends where required such as a return on a leaflet dispenser.

Oven Moulding (Thermoforming):-
The oven is used to heat various plastics up to a maximum temperature of 250°C with the capacity to mould panels up to 2.2m x 1.0m in size. The heated panel is then drape moulded onto a former.

Cementing & Glueing:-
There are various glues available for cementing plastic part together. At Dipec we use Dichloromethane, Extrufix, Tensol 12 and Tensol 70 Two Part Acrylic cement.

Manual Routering:-
This process is used when a cheap and easy method is required for achieving radius corners on acrylic panels.
