Welcome to The Packaging Federation we are a UK trade association for the Packaging Manufacturing Industry. We are a recognised representative for Packaging Manufacturing companies throughout the UK and we also represent companies with associated activities.

Annual sales of 10 billion are made through the packaging manufacturing industry; around 85,000 people are employed into this industry which actually makes up 3% of the manufacturing workforce in the UK. The contributions made by these companies to the UK GDP are major ones and also a very vital link in the supply chain for packaging.

Recent times have seen packaging placed firmly under the public and commercial spotlight, which has necessitated a very strong voice for the whole packaging industry.

The main aim of The Packaging Federation is to actively promote the industries economic importance, all of the benefits that come from using packaging, the products that it produces and the concern for both the community and the environment.

Membership of the The Packaging Federation is open to all manufacturers from all sectors of the UK Packaging Manufacturing Industry and associated industries. We are also open to related Sector Trade Associations, Recycling Organisations and Compliance Schemes.

We operate from our central London location in Victoria, where the Federation controls all aspects of operations.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Federation please visit our website for detailed information, alternatively you can call during normal office hours on 020 7808 7217 or email us at [email protected]

There are various ways in which members are kept informed and up to date. Plenary meetings are held quarterly that mainly include chief executives and directors, email bulletins are also frequently issued keeping members informed of current developments. The Federation also hosts a forum for trade associations referred to as the Quarterly Industry Steering Group.

Further information on membership and associated organisations can be found on our website.
