Available in three sizes suitable for working depths of up to 2.00, 4.00 and 6.00 metres, the new A&M units can be arranged along the side wall of a tank or in a grid pattern across the floor to effect excellent mixing, oxygen transfer and BOD/COD reduction.
Air blown into the side-mounted inlet port creates a strong up-flow which, in turn, creates suction drawing up waste water and sediments through the shearing elements mounted inside the body, there by hindering the formation of sludge deposits at the base of a tank.
As the air and waste water mixture passes through the shearing elements, the air is broken up into a mixture of fine and millimetre sized bubbles affording good conditions for aeration and oxygen gas-to-liquid transfer.
The strength of the strong suction action can be seen in the level of surface turbulence in the above picture, a tank almost 5 metres deep, full of food-sector industrial waste water.
