After contacting Maynes and agreeing everything they arrived on the day and on time each day, they respected our property by laying sheets in every room and wearing shoe protectors they were very polite and kept us informed of what they were doing and when a problem came about told us how they were going to solve it as everything was 40 years old each day when they left they cleaned and hoovered up to make sure they left no mess and when they had finished on the last day made sure we new how to work the new boiler, we would recommend this company to anybody.

At this visit, the engineer called his HQ and established the cost of the required system powerflush and, after dosing the system with cleaner in the hope that it might, after all, clear the system, advised us to contact them at the start of the following week. At the start of the following week, with no apparent improvement in the system - no hot water, no central heating - we arranged for an engineer to spend a day with us powerflushing the system. The engineer arrived at the appointed time on the appointed day, tried to clear the system without powerflushing and, this proving unsuccessful, went ahead with the procedure. Initially, the blockage resisted the process but, eventually, the flushing broke though revealing water in the system to be almost black and full of debris. After several hours of hard work by the engineer, all was working perfectly and the system contained clean water. Everything was completed satisfactorily, tidily and to budget.

“The problem - a blocked system - was identified in a diagnostic visit and the solution - a powerflush - was agreed upon and a quotation given after a brief call to Mayne's HQ. At the agreed time on the agreed date, Charlie arrived and proceeded to investigate the blockage hoping that a powerflush might not be necessary. GIven that there was no throughflow in the system a powerflush was begun and, after several hors of hard word by Charlie, the problem seemed to be cleared and the water in the system was no longer black and full of debris. All (heating and hot water) now working as intended.”

Engineer Matt Evison arrived very promptly on allotted day. and I was immediately impressed by production of boot protectors before he entered premises. After confirmation of my requirements Matt set to work in an extremely ordered and efficient manner. Matt is to be commended for the best solder fill joints I've seen in many a moon Very pleased with speed and workmanship ( fast but not rushed ). and would definitely use Mayne and this extremely affable young man again should the need arise. Price was also very acceptable and well below anticipated cost. Well done.

Very pleased with the work carried out, each evening the house was left tidy with both floorboards and carpets replaced. We were kept informed at all times about the progress of the work and our queries were answered quickly. The 4 employees of Mayne's worked quietly, efficiently and were very polite, in fact we often left them to it and went out as they were working in every room in he house. And we were only getting in the way! Darren Mayne visited on 2 or 3 occasions whilst the work was in progress and came again a couple of days after completion to check that we were satisfied.

And from first contact with reception, to the managing director himself, all the staff were really nice and understanding. The fitters Jorden and Bradley were lovely, can't praise them enough. Within an hour I had someone at my house checking out the issue. The part needed was ordered over the phone and sourced locally so it could be picked up and fitted the same day. The plumber attending not only fixed the leak by replacing the faulty part but also gave my boiler a service whilst he was in there. He left having cleaned up after himself. The whole experience left me pleased that I got in touch with Mayne in the first place. I would use them again if needed and would recommend to others in the future.

The Boiler engineer that came to me was called Matt and he was brilliant. He was spot on time and didn't stop till he finished. He was polite, efficient and friendly. He told me as he went along how he was doing and at the end explained clearly how things worked. He cleaned up and took any and all old parts and rubbish away. I would recommend Mayne to any friend or colleague that needed help with their heating/water and if in the Louth area I would hope they would get Matt.

New boiler fitted 2014 January by fitter A self employed. 29-03-18 Fitter B Self employed finds cause of leak in boiler recommends factory manufacturer service plan also points out flu not installed properly. Fitter C from boiler manufacturers carries out repairs ,tests boiler and puts dangerous certificate on boiler DO NOT USE. faulty flu also low gas pressure inadequate size pipe. After their recommendations both these fitters left me to sort out the problem. Both had been payed for work carried out both blamed fitter A for not installing correctly both left me with a boiler I could not use. 04-04-18 called Maynegasheating ,inspected next day noted another problem not seen by other two fitters quote sent by email quote accepted reparation work carried out 10-04-18 by fitter and apprentice to my extreme satisfaction. The staff of this company were sympathetic to my previous experiences also very helpful they are a truly professional organized and competent company. They will service my boiler next year.

This is the first company who have looked at my underfloor heating who actually knew what they were doing, and got it working as it should (it's been an 8 year quest with umpteen "professionals looking at it). The boiler was fitted with no fuss, all the staff were extremely knowledgeable, polite and efficient. I can't really imagine a situation where I would use anyone else for my heating systems.

Ryan was quite knowledgeable across the system in my house and came to grips with all the things that were going wrong with it and found suitable solutions. (A previous company had just said "get a new boiler"). From the initial consultation I had total confidence with Darren Mayne and his workforce. Kevin was asked by another workman in my home to disconnect a radiator which obligingly he did which he did not have to do, nor would I have asked him myself within the quoted work scope. Such is the customer service with this company. Unhesitatingly I shall call on their services again.

Excellent work fitting a new fire place. Recommended. We had a complete new fireplace fitted. We had approached other fire place companies in the Grimsby but when told that the waiting list was 3 months to have it installed we looked elsewhere. We discovered somewhat by chance that Mayne could not only install the new gas fire but also install all the new marble fire surround as well. We bought the fireplace and fire surround online and Mayne Gas fitted it for us within a couple of weeks. Much quicker and saved us £100s at the same time and we couldn't be happier with the finished result. The team who came to fit the surround and fire were very courteous and professional. Gas appliance service. Required two gas fires and a boiler servicing, John, the engineer arrived as per time slot, he wore protective shoe covers while in the house, keeping carpets clean and covers were put down near working areas. The chap who came was very polite and courteous, he immediately Put his shoe covers on even though I have a tiled floor He sealed the room off for drilling and explained it would get very dusty He covered everything over to protect from dust. We had a complete central heating system install (cylinder system to combi) including replacement lead pipes that were causing leaks. The price was reasonable and formal quotations were provided. The work guys were punctual and friendly, Darren also came down each day to ensure the job was done correctly. Professional tests and regulations were followed along with any updates fed back to me. Although the work went slightly over schedule this was understandable because of the challenges that were found but the guys worked late to speed things up. If there is some criticism it would be due to some cosmetic issues that were left post install but this can be understood due to the large disruption of the property. I was assured that if there are any problems to contact them but hopefully there won't be i'm sure.

Our 23 yr old boiler started leaking just before Christmas. Our central heating system was old (circa 1940s). I obtained three quotes from reputable companies (one of which was from Mayne) and all three advised that the system really needed replacing. However, only the Mayne surveyor measured all the rooms to calculate the boiler and radiator sizes and only the Mayne surveyor went in the loft and spotted the state of the old head tanks. The Mayne boiler size came out the smallest, but I now know that this was because it was carefully calculated. We decided to go with the Mayne quote and we are very pleased with the results. The engineers who came to fit the system did excellent work and even managed to reuse our old towel rail. We now have a new system, and a boiler with a 10 year warranty. I work in engineering and my experience is that it is rare to find companies as good as this. We are very grateful to Mayne for providing such a professional service. Thanks guys.

Friendly, efficient service. I found Mayne online, local traders had all let me down. Was frightened of getting a "cowboy" trader, but no fear of that with Mayne. When I rang, the girl obviously new her stuff, the engineer came out very quickly, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and diagnosed the boiler fault quickly. Unbeatable service I cannot recommend Mayne Gas Heating too highly - recently I had a problem with a water leak in pipes set in concrete under the bathroom floor and as part of the remedial work MGH dealt with the job of bringing the water pipes above ground so that I did not have future similar upheaval - having given me a fully costed quotation for the work the engineer actually carried out the work ahead of time and consequently the bill was significantly cheaper - as a consequence of this work the central heating needed to be "re-balanced" and this initially proved problematical but MGH were persistent and patient in dealing with that issue too (and did not charge me extra which was tremendous) - having sorted out the issue the MGH staff even took the time to contact me after a week had gone by to ensure that everything remained satisfactory- I will always return to MGH for future work within the company's field of expertise - in the round a professional job at a reasonable price from a terrific team which starts working on the customer's behalf from the point of contact with the office staff and links right through to the engineers in the front line. I confirm that I have no relationship to anyone at MGH; that the sentiments expressed are entirely my own observations and are unsolicited.

Fabulous and thorough fitting service I wanted a gas fire but liked stoves and much to my delight i could get a stove that was gas! I called Mayne Gas as i was informed they were the service company for gazco in the area. They supported me right from buying the stove, to reccomending additional pieces i may need for my installation. They took out the old fire and made good the pipe work until the building work had been completed. The proprietor and director of the company came out and oversaw the installation and trained some of his already qualified and experienced fitters in this make of fire. I cant recommend them enough for their professionalism they took with installing the fire, keeping the room clean and conducting a multitude of tests once installed. Casey Revell was the fitter, what a super smiley and polite chap, really really cant thank you enough.

I have used Mayne gas before for smaller jobs and had them in mind when i knew i needed a new boiler. I had a couple of other quotes from big national firms but they itemised a charge for every bit of work needed for example, system flush £400, so i decided to go with mayne after they had surveyed the job and explained the work necessary. Two engineers were sent and they were punctual, friendly and informative. They did as much as they could to keep the mess to a minimum putting on overshoes and laying down dustsheets. They were very polite, helpful and careful to make as little mess as possible, tidying up after themselves each day. WOULD USE THEM AGAIN My longstanding plumber retired. Although the firm continued, I had to give up on them after numerous attemts attempts to arrange an annual check of my boiler, gas fire etc. I gave in and rather than take a chance and use "Yellow Pages" I looked at Trusted Traders and found Maine Gas Heating. I emailed them with my request and got a reply the following day. Their email detailed their charges and offered me an almost immediate appointment. They turned up when they said they would, were efficient, polite and professional. Charges were reasonable and fair.

Two guys arrived at 8.45am. They put protectors on their shoes and sheets down on the floor. They were friendly and carried out the work efficiently. There was a problem with the system which caused them to be longer than expected, however the engineer was quick to diagnose the fault and fixed it promptly. I was billed the originally agreed price even though the engineers were unexpectedly delayed by 45 minutes due to the blockage within my system. Overall I was happy with the service, they were able to fit the job in at short notice, and did an excellent job.
