Dr Scott MacMillan,

Laker Vent Engineering Limited were awarded the Mechanical, Process & Utility piping systems for Argents Ellesmere Port, Stanlow phase 1 site, by Argent Energy’s Group Operations Director, Dr Scott MacMillan. Having won the contract under a stringent tender process we have developed an open successfully working relationship with the Argent management team, built on trust and providing a quality service. We now look forward to an on-going successful working relationship for the benefit of both companies

Bob Johnson, Waste 2 Resources LLP

As a PFI project, the time period from initial interest to financial close and on to construction is often 3 years + but LVE stayed with us, secured the work and we are glad that they did. Given the complex and sometimes unique nature of the piping systems on the Lancashire Waste Projects, W2R was looking for a contractor that was competent, professional and flexible as well as good value and LVE met those criteria. LVE worked with our teams to help with design detailing and construction methodology and went on to carry out the materials procurement, shop fabrication, erection and testing on both Leyland & Thornton Cleveleys, LVE did a great job and have been good to work with!

Erkki Savolainen, Saica Paper

Saica Paper has invested £290m in this new manufacturing facility in Partington. The new mill will help to divert the export of some 450,000 tonne/year of used paper by recycling it within the UK. This will also significantly reduce the containerboard imports coming from Europe and cut the associated CO2 emissions. Saica has designed the new mill to be fully integrated, including a dedicated combined heat and power (CHP) station to generate clean energy, as well as an advanced effluent treatment plant. Laker Vent tendered against fierce competition, having won the order they continued to provide an positive effect for the benefit of the project and have completed the work to a high standard.
