iab-lab are a family-run business based in Keighley. Established in 1990, we specialise in the consultation, design, installation and refurbishment of controlled working environments, laboratories and office areas.

Laboratory Design & Consultancy
No matter the project, the design stage is crucial. During our early consultation process, you will receive expert advice on space requirements, building selection and location. This stage should begin as early as possible and be given the highest priority. We collaborate closely with our clients to ensure their operational needs are fully reflected within our designs.
Laboratory Installation & Refurbishment
We deliver high-quality, cost-effective and compliant installations that are fully tailored to your individual requirements. Our skilled team possess extensive laboratory design experience, combining practical insight with technical expertise to provide first-class laboratory installations, refurbishments and maintenance services across sectors including healthcare, science, education, technology and chemical industries.
Laboratory & Equipment Maintenance
For complete peace of mind, we provide both reactive and planned maintenance services for M&E systems and laboratory installations, with maintenance contracts available as standard. Our dedicated maintenance department operates 24/7, delivering support whenever it is needed.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensuring laboratory design and construction meet both current and future requirements is of paramount importance. iab-Lab laboratories are designed in accordance with relevant regulations and standards, including Building Control, COMAH, GMP, CIBSE, WRAS and HTM requirements.
Laboratory Furniture & Worktops
iab-Lab supply and install everything required for a modern laboratory, from mobile workstations and storage cabinets to fume cupboards, worktops, gas fittings and taps. Our laboratory furniture solutions are designed to create efficient, practical and safe working environments.
Small Works
For smaller projects, our dedicated small works department manages everything from follow-up works to one-off jobs. Every client receives the same attention to detail, regardless of project size. The department was established to ensure we can continue delivering the same high level of service and dedication across all projects.
Fume Extraction
Any required fume extraction systems can be designed in-house, supplied and installed directly by iab-Lab. To maintain a safe working environment, we also provide fume cupboards, extraction hoods, ventilated cabinets and a range of LEV systems. These can be incorporated into a complete laboratory refurbishment or supplied as a standalone solution.
Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
We tailor all HVAC installations to the individual requirements of each laboratory, placing air quality at the forefront of every design decision. All ventilation systems are installed in accordance with CIBSE codes of practice, alongside any additional laboratory-specific regulations that may apply.
