founded by Harry John Skelton in 1983, London, England. Since our foundation we

Rails Sections
HJ Skelton and Co can supply a full range of rails for both crane and railway
use. They can be supplied cut to length, rolled, curved or drilled to suit your
requirements.
Rail Accessories
For railway and engineering requirements we are able to provide a wide range of
rail fastenings. Our rail fastenings will ensure the rails are secured correctly
before being brought into service.
Buffer Stops
HJ Skelton and Co supply a wide range of buffer stops, from fixed and friction
buffer stops for railways to crane track buffer stops and special custom
designs.
Friction Buffer Stops
These safety devices offer and efficient and effective energy stopping solution
to arrest a train in a controlled manner in the event of an impact. Friction
buffer stops reduce the risk of injury to passengers and damage to the rolling
stock.
Fixed Buffer Stops
All track ends need to be protected and marked to stop trains coming off when
the track ends. Fixed buffer stops clearly mark the end of the rails; they do
not offer energy absorption but will stop a train at very slow speeds.
Wheel Stops
Suitable for waggons or single cars at slow speeds, wheel stops protect rail
ends in maintenance facilities and workshops.
Folding Buffer Stops
To protect special loading facilities from shuttering accidents, folding
buffer stops are the answer. These buffers top trains accidently entering the
siding.
Crane Track Buffer Stops
Cranes also need protection from coming off the track ends in their designed
work area. Crane buffer stops are specifically designed to meet your unique
