First Flight Non-Executive Directors is a new breed of Non Exec Search firm (albeit we have been going for 8 years!) our clients include: 1) AIM companies, & FTSE fledgling 2) Mutuals, Building & Friendly Societies 3) not-for-profit organisations 4) PE backed 5) growth companies. We charge a lot less than the big City & West End Search firms, we only handle Chair and Non Exec projects which requires different skills and we are very transparent - all our roles are visible on our web site and we set out clearly what the requirements are for each of our NED roles that we have agreed with our clients. In some projects the Chair &/or Non Exec(s) we've provided have also invested in the business when they join as a Non Exec. We currently have 8,000 Non Exec candidates on our searchable database covering all sectors and size of business from some 55,000 CVs submitted to us; all of them are current and all have to register with us (there is no cost involved unlike some disreputable firms), saving a CV and answering a number of questions so we know more about them than their CV tells us. We can help our clients with a skills audit of their Board, we can advise on Non Exec remuneration and we target specific skills and expertise for our clients to ensure they add value. We don't provide clients with Chair candidates who have more than two roles nor Non Exec candidates who have more than 4-5 roles as we don't believe they will have the time to understand the business and really add value. We advertise our client's Chair or Non Exec role (at our cost), work with our partner organisations and use Search to come up with an excellent choice of candidates for all types of companies.
