In 2006 we were moving to new premises and we wanted a telephone system which would save money and let us to expand easily if required. Our old PBX system was “on its last legs”. We talked to EOS Communications, who proposed the complete solution for us and project-managed the telecommunications aspects of our move into the new premises. They organised everything including the porting of our established business phone numbers, new broadband and installed a Hermes hosted VoIP telephone system in the new office. We no longer have to worry about outgrowing our PBX capacity because with this system we can add new telephones as and when we need them without limit. Also, we no longer have a PBX on site with ongoing maintenance costs. We were impressed with the quality of the phones and the ease of use of the whole system. We have been using EOS Communications for all telecommunications and broadband since 2006. We started off with just one small office and have expanded over the past few years to 10 offices and around 110 staff, including some overseas offices. The beauty of this cloud-based system is that we can add new office telephones as and when we need them and the system runs over a broadband line, reducing the number of line rentals required. We have four digit extension dialling between all sites and all these calls are free. Calls to other numbers in the UK and overseas are substantially cheaper than the traditional alternatives. In 2010 we needed to expand into new premises and we decided to upgrade our telephone system at the same time. We employ around 30 staff at the London office answering telephone enquiries all day and rely absolutely on our telephone system. In addition we have a number of customer service staff working from home. EOS organised the transition from our conventional PBX telephone system to a modern hosted IP telephone system when we relocated.
