Now owned by the founder's son Roger Dixon, the company has remained family run since it was established in 1956. Current work includes the transportation of items and equipment to mainland Europe for the revolutionary Galileo global navigation satellite system. This will update and replace GPS over European territories. Dixons Dispatch was also involved in moving the models used in the Mars Rover project.

Fully Trained ADR Drivers for the Movement of Hazardous Goods

Other work has included the transportation of passive items such as coded satellite phones and support equipment such as body armour for the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is in addition to ongoing work for the NHS in the movement of medical products and hazardous radioactive isotopes. All of our couriers are fully ADR trained to handle all types of deliveries.

'With recession comes redundancies' says Roger. "We've seen an influx of new courier service providers who have decided to put their car to work. They don't know the industry very well and many are unsuited to the job. So it has been a challenge to remain competitive but our reputation speaks for itself. And through the National Courier Association we have the backing and the support of an organisation which ensures you, as a member, know what you are doing, and are carrying out the job to a high standard."

Can i say thank you for your help and support.
