is an ULTRA HIGH VACUUM chamber and components manufacturing company in East
Grinstead, Sussex. Established in 1986 originally to service the UHV companies
based in the South East of England. Over the years Argon Services has evolved
into a main supplier of UHV Vacuum Chambers, Mu Metal Vacuum Chambers, Stainless
Steel Vacuum Chambers, all UHV fabrications and UHV instrumentation for use in
Surface Science, Semiconductor, medical and research environments. We now supply
to many Blue Chip companies with customers in the UK, Europe and further afield.
Our specialist knowledge over the years has grown from just UHV welding, to now supplying a full machining and fabricating services for UHV Chambers and UHV instruments. We have a full UHV cleaning service for both Mu Metal and Stainless Steel Vacuum chambers and UHV instruments. All components are subject to a full UHV leak Test (Mass Spec).
We have a fully equipped UHV Instrument assembly shop where we can manufacture, leak test , UHV clean and Vacuum Heat Treat (Vacuum Stove) a variety of different instruments and materials, including PBN, Tantalum, Molybdenum, Niobium, Ceramics, Lead Bronze, Aluminium Bronze, Inconel and all grades of Stainless Steel (including 316L and 316LN) Typical components/ instruments that are manufactured in house include UHV View Port Shutters, Knudsen Cells, Evaporators, Magnetic Drives, Linear Drives, UHV Manipulators, Transfer Mechanisms and Edge Welded UHV Bellows assemblies.
Our test facility includes a full UHV Bake - out system, where we can Bake to 250 Deg. C and outgas UHV components if required. We also have the facility to run an RGA scan.
