An
icemaker or ice machine, this term usually refers to a stand alone appliance. An
ice machine is a device for making ice commonly found inside a home freezer.
Industrial ice making machines are used to make ice on a large scale and the ice
is then distributed to various venues such as supermarkets restaurants and
public houses etc. Industrial ice machines can provide better quality ice by
using moving water. The faster the water moves the better the quality of the
ice. Horizontal evaporator machines can remove up to 98% of the solids in the
water, resulting in very hard almost pure ice. Commercial ice machines can
produce varying sizes of ice which include, cube, octagon, crushed, flakers and
tube.
