Tissue Paper
Tissue paper is a very light creped paper. Tissue
paper is used for many applicati ons
because of its many qualities. Tissue paper has good absorbency, strength,
thickness, stretch, basic weight and appearance, and because of these
properties, are used in a wide range of products. The raw material for tissue
paper is paper pulp, and is manufactured using a paper machine that applies
steam to the pulp. The tissue paper is then sprayed with an adhesive to make it
bond, and the creping is controlled by the strength of the adhesive. There are
many uses for tissue paper particularly in the hygiene industry, and products
commonly made with tissue paper can include, paper towels, wrapping paper,
facial tissue and hygienic tissue paper. Paper towels are very widely used all
over the world, and are the second largest product of tissue paper.
