Rubber Products
Rubber is an elastomer that derives from latex which is a milky colloid produced by some trees and plants. The trees are tapped by making an incision in the trees bark which makes the tree seep the liquid into containers to be processed into rubber. Natural rubber is used extensively in many applications and products because of its main properties which are its stretchiness and water resistance. The use of rubber is widespread, ranging from household items such as welly boots and hoses, to industrial products such as tyres and car parts. Tyres take up the vast majority of all rubber produced, in the region of 50 to 60%. Other uses of rubber are door and window profiles, belts, matting, flooring, gloves for the medical sector, adhesives, carpet manufacturing, erasers and rubber bands. Another large user of rubber is the automotive industry to produce what is known in the trade as under the bonnet goods which refers to hoses and different types of belts. Rubber can be supplied in any shape or form from suppliers today to be used in almost any application.
