Labels
Labels are widely used
everywhere and their uses are numerous. A label can be manufactured from a
varying range of materials. Labels can be made from cloth, paper, metal and
polymers. They are attached to the relevant product and will invariably have
printed, etched or embossed legends on them with names or information about the
said product. Labels uses are almost to numerous to mention but some of these
can include, warnings, names, advertising and other types of communication. Some
labels are put / printed directly onto the product / article/ container. Other
types of labels can be attached by adhesive means for example gluing or
pre-glued to allow self adhesion. Shrink wrap labels are placed on the article
and then heated to shrink them into position. Metal rivets are also employed for
metal labels, nametags and leather labels.
