We specialise in wooden handrails, continuous, between Newel post, on glass or on metal balustrading. We carry standard stock profiles, match your existing pattern or create new designs to meet your requirements.

With experience of various types of handrail manufacture, we can choose the best procedure for manufacturing your handrail, from traditional hand crafted through to modern CNC machining. Each process has its own characteristics; the hand crafted wooden handrail is better suited to the older style of handrail on wooden spindles, giving a natural flowing look and feel. While modern CNC production is extremely accurate, giving a crisp sharp look, more suited to the new styles of balustrading.

Modern technology can still be useful even when using traditional hand carving techniques as we can digitally scan a staircase into a computer aided design package, giving accurate dimensions to create the geometric drawings required for cutting the component handrail parts. In some situations we will combine skills using both CNC and hand carving to achieve the desired effect for the continuous handrail.

The wood chosen for each project can vary from Oak, and Mahogany, to cherry or ash. Each wood being very different in colour, this can be used to blend in with the other features in the property, or in contrast with them.
