BritishEco
Ltd are Solar Panel Installers and a designer and of renewable energy
solutions for the domestic, commercial and public sector properties.
BritishEco was established in 2002 and we provide and install solar
thermal panels, solar PV (photovoltaic) panels, wind turbines, heat
pumps, rainwater harvesting and biomass systems.
BritishEco
is a national company accredited by the Microgeneration
Certification Scheme (MCS). We have offices throughout the UK. We
are manufacturer independent and can offer advice regarding
Government Feed-in Tariffs and Renewable Heat Incentives, local
planning and incentives.
As Solar Panel Installers we can
Install a renewable energy system such as solar panels or a wind
turbine and we can help you earn money from the Government
incentives, reduce your energy bills, protect you from future energy
cost rises, and reduce your impact on the environment. With the
introduction of the government-backed incentives, you will be paid
for all the electricity you generate from eligible renewable energy
systems, such as solar pv panels/wind turbines etc. The Renewable
Heat Incentives are planned for April 2011, when you will be able to
get paid for all the heat energy you generate from eligible
renewable energy systems, such as solar thermal panels, heat pumps
and biomass boilers.
BritishEco
provides independent and down-to-earth advice on a variety of
renewable energy products. We are not tied to one technology, or
indeed one manufacturer, and so we have the freedom and flexibility
to offer our clients the best type of technology and product for
them, not the best choice for us or no choice at all.
Some Solar Panel Installers leave you to do all the work and just
install the product for you, however we can assist in the whole process of selecting the best renewable
energy system for your situation. We offer a free site
assessment/survey and from there the project may include project
feasibility, assistance with grants and tax issues and on through to
design, installation and commissioning of the complete system.
We are able to partner with architects, builders and contractors to
help them meet the necessary planning approvals with respect to
Renewable Technology and also meet the required level as defined in
The Code for Sustainable Homes.
BritishEco
is a national company with offices throughout the UK. Your local
renewable energy consultant can arrange an appointment to visit you
or can call you to discuss the best option for you. Over the years
we have helped thousands of customers across the country to choose
and install the right renewable system for them. We can also help
you.
Solar
PV
Solar
PV (Photovoltaic) Panels use the energy from the sun to generate
electricity. The solar panels produce no waste or emissions. The
free electricity generated can be used to run appliances and
lighting in the building in the normal way, so reducing the amount
of electricity you have to buy from your normal supplier and hence
reducing your bills.
Solar PV panels do not need direct sunlight to work – power will be
generated as long as there is daylight, so even on a dull day
electricity will be generated. BritishEco will design the system
size to suit the particular client and this will depend on budget,
roof area, energy needs and panel type.
With the new Government Feed-in Tariffs, which were introduced in
April 2010 and are guaranteed for up to 25 years, you will be paid
generously for ALL the energy you generate when you install solar
panels and then you are free to either use the energy to reduce your
bills or to sell any surplus back to the electricity company – so
getting paid twice. The Feed-in Tariff payments are tax free for
householders and are index-linked.
Solar
Thermal
With
a BritishEco Solar Thermal system 50-70% of your water heating will
be virtually FREE. In the summer months the system can provide
almost all your hot water needs. So a Solar Thermal system will save
you money as your gas or electricity bills will be lower and reduce
your impact on the environment.
It is sometimes said that the UK doesn’t have enough sunlight for
effective solar water heating, but this is not correct. Today’s
efficient, high performance thermal collector designs mean that
Solar Thermal is one of the most cost effective and powerful
renewable energy solutions available.
From April 2011, it is proposed that you will be able to earn income
from generating your own renewable heat energy, when you install
solar thermal panels, heat pumps or a biomass boiler. Under the
Government’s proposed Renewable Heat Incentive, you will be paid for
all heat generated from eligible renewable systems fitted by a
certified installer.
Wind
Turbines
Wind
Turbines can offer excellent value for money, providing free
electrical energy all year round. At BritishEco, we ensure that the
most suitable Wind Turbines are selected and are sited correctly.
With the new Government Feed-in Tariffs, which are guaranteed for up
to 20 years for electricity generated from Wind Turbines, you will
be paid generously for ALL the energy you generate and then you are
free to either use the electricity you generate to reduce your bills
or to sell any surplus automatically back to the electricity company
– so getting paid twice.
Heat
Pumps
Heat
Pumps are electrically powered appliances consisting of a compressor
and heat exchangers designed to provide hot water and space heating
through water systems (either radiators or under-floor) by
extracting heat from a free, renewable energy source such as the
ground, air or water. Air source heat pumps are quick and easy to
fit in an existing property.
This proven and simple technology works in a similar way to your
domestic fridge. Heat Pumps are very low maintenance, reliable and
can provide large savings compared to electrical, oil or LPG
systems.
From April 2011, you can earn income from generating your own
renewable heat energy, when you install heat pumps, solar panels and
biomass boilers. Under the Government’s proposed Renewable Heat
Incentive, you will be paid for all heat generated from eligible
renewable systems fitted by a certified installer.
Rainwater
Harvesting
Rainwater
Harvesting Systems provide perfectly clean and filtered water for
applications such as toilet flushing, laundry, general cleaning and
garden irrigation and these Rainwater Harvesting Systems also act as
a buffer during storms to help prevent flooding.
A Rainwater Harvesting System can save you money on your water
bills. As the pressure builds on our scare water resources Rainwater
Harvesting is fast becoming an essential part of sustainable living
which is now incorporated into The Code for Sustainable Homes.
The range includes a simple collection system for garden irrigation
through to complete packages with pumps and sensors to deliver water
seamlessly to garden, toilets and washing machines.
Biomass
Boilers
Carbon
neutral fuel is used in small scale domestic applications - the fuel
usually takes the form of wood pellets, wood chips or logs. These
products are cost effective compared to fossil fuels and are
independent of commodity trading effects that we often see with
fossil fuels.
From April 2011, you can earn income from generating your own
renewable heat energy from biomass boilers as well as when you
install solar thermal panels or heat pumps. Under the Government’s
proposed Renewable Heat Incentive, you will be paid for all heat
generated from eligible renewable systems fitted by a certified
installer.
