Established in 2000 SBK Engineering Ltd has provided clients a safe cost
efficient Engineering Surveyor. Having a vast range of experience in Civil
Engineering and Building we feel that we can match our experience to your
requirements. We believe in commitment, hard work and honesty. We are committed
to achieving the results required in the time scales required. Our operatives
work nationwide out of our Weston super mare office.
Our Surveyors/engineers use leica total stations, Leica G.P.S. equipment,
GPS surveying,
Topographic survey,
LSS
and CAD packages to give you the results you are looking for in the time scales
and to the budget you are trying to achieve. Our operatives all carry CSCS
passports as a minimum to help them work to your site rules.
Setting Out Services
 Providing
your site with all setting out requirements or just establishing control to you
site. We can provide the equipment and experienced day to day supervision or
control lines and datum’s, to allow your site staff to carry out their
processes, and then returning to check accuracy (As Built) at a later time. We
can even call to site at regular intervals to re establish lines or update
information as the works progress.
We also provide tutorage or supervision to your junior or trainee engineers
advising them on site engineering matters beyond that of dimensional control.
Giving Guidance in record keeping, testing, reconciliation’s, pre-construction
checks, Q.A., instrument Checks and so on.
We can even provide safety qualified site managers to run your projects.
Survey services
 We
carry out GPS surveying
and Topographic survey, supplying you with 3d or 4d data or even a CAD
plot, modelled using LSS. We have been contracted to produce pre construction
surveys calculating muck shift and muck away quantities allowing efficient plant
and labour choices and distribution. We have also been contracted to carry out
highway surveys producing or checking road construction quantities on both new
and upgrade work. Drainage surveys have also come within our remit checking
levels and designing drainage lines.
Floor plan surveys or layout surveys provided to you as a CAD document or as a
printed hard copy the choice is yours.
 G.P.S.
- GPS surveying
Using Leica Smart net RTK G.P.S. equipment allows us to provide our existing
clients with the information to satisfy their contractual needs. G.P.S. also
allows us to provide quick and accurate control to sometimes difficult
locations. Once OS control is located it is a simple matter of obtaining local
control to your desired specification.
