Transglobal Engineering operates
from their 15000 sq ft workshop based in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire. We have been
established for over 15 years ago, we quick ly
built up our client base (which includes the MOD, HM Prison Service and The
Environmental Agency) and an excellent reputation in the field of engineering.
Here at Transglobal, we offer a complete design, manufacture and installation
service for various types of specialist doors which include Flood Gates, Flood
Doors, Stop Logs, Water Tight Doors, Grates & Grilles, Prison Doors, Blast Doors
and High Security Doors.
Floodgates and Stop Logs
These gates allow the normal through put of traffic and pedestrian s
until floods are expected. The gates are then locked in place to form a complete
water tight barrier until the time that the water level recedes; this also
incorporates neoprene seals which compress when the gate is shut. Our products
are manufactured in mild steel and are available in a variety of paint
specifications to suit an Environment Agency’s or Water Authority’s
requirements. We can also offer lockable decorative over panels in either GRP or
Steel as an optional extra which give extra security against vandalism.
Our Stop logs are manufactured in light weight aluminium and allow a fast, very
effective and economical barrier against the ingress of water through any doo rway.
We have been manufacturing our Flood Gates now for over 15 years. All of our
flood gates are manufactured and installed by our own employees, ensuring we
provide a fully controlled and quality service.
Blast Doors (Light, Medium and Heavy Duty)
Our Blast Doors and Bomb Proof Doors are currently being used all over the world
in numerous applications. Blast / Bomb Proof Doors can be provided for Munitions
Facilities, Petrochemical Environments and also as preventative measures in high
risk areas such as Bank Vaults and Panic Rooms etc.
We offer full consultation, design, manufacturing and installation facilities.
All of our doors can be hinged or sliding, single or double leaf and in all
sizes to suit your individual requirement.
A variety of different locking arrangements are available, including a centre
hand wheel or multi-lever latching, with hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic or
manual operation. They are manufactured in mild steel or stainless steel to suit
the blast loading specified by the client. Like the flood gates they are
available in a variety of paint specifications.
Security Steel Doors

Engineering can also provide security steel doors, ballastail and tube clamp
hand rails. These are manufactured in mild steel, aluminium or stainless steel
and are available in a variety of paint specifications.
Transglobal offer full consultation, design, manufacturing and installation
facilities, and all doors can be hinged or sliding, single or double leaf, in
sizes to suit individual requirement.
NDT Welding Inspection
NDT is often used to look for cracking at welded joints and in areas identified
as being susceptible to environmental cracking (e.g. stress corrosion cracking
or hydrogen induced cracking), fatigue cracking or creep cracking.
Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) is used for the detection of surface and
near-surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials.
Here at Transglobal Engineering, we have trained personnel responsible for the
inspection of castings, forgings or fabricated items during manufacture or
in-service. They are qualified to write clear and concise inspection
instructions and test reports.
All our products are engineered, constructed and fitted by our highly trained
