Precision seamless and welded tubes for the most challenging
environments
Fine Tubes
can offer over 65 years experience in precision metal engineering.
We support our customers from the initial design, the material
selection through to the production, test certification and delivery
of the high performance tubes we manufacture.
Our reputation for quality and reliability, drive for innovation in
materials, exceptional customer service and continuous improvement
underlines our strong commitment to high quality precision tubing.
The tubular products we develop are for critical tolerance
applications in extreme conditions.
Fine Tubes manufactures tubes in two principle forms:
Seamless stainless steel tubing, nickel alloy tubes and titanium
tubes as straight tubes or coiled
tubing from 3mm (0.040in) outer diameter (OD) to 31mm (1½in)
OD.
Welded tubes, welded and drawn or seam free stainless steel tubes
and nickel tubing as
straight
tubes or coiled tubing from 3mm (0.118in) OD to 28mm (1¼in) OD.
Available profile tubes include not only round but also rectangular
tubes, square tubes, oval tubes and elliptical and other profiles.
The standards and specifications for these tubes and coils are
extremely high and serve a wide range of markets. |

Stainless Steel Tubes |
|
Fine Tubes can manufacture and supply
stainless steel tubes in a wide range of grades in seamless or
welded tube form from less than 1mm (0.04”) to 50.8mm (2”) Outside
Diameter. Seamless and welded stainless steel tubes are supplied in
straight lengths up to 20m (65.6ft) whereas welded tubes as coils
with orbital joints can be up to 10,000m (33,000 ft) long. |

High Pressure Tubing |
|
Fine Tubes supply top quality
high pressure tubing
to a range of industries with the tubes being rated up to 60,000psi
operating pressure and with tensile strengths greater than 220ksi
(1,515MPa) |

Aerospace Tubes |
|
Fine Tubes supplies aerospace tubes to many of today's
leading aerospace programmes where excellent weight:
strength ratio materials such as Titanium 3Al2.5, 6Al4
and 425, CP and also high temperature Nickel Alloys,
stainless grades such as 21-6-9 are required.
Aerospace tubes are used as mechanical tubes,
hydraulic tubes and high pressure tubes for torque
control rods, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems,
landing gear, waveguides, convoluting, ducting systems
and cryogenic heat exchangers. We have achieved Nadcap
approval for heat treatment, NDT and laboratory testing
of our tubing. We have also achieved many customer
approvals, including Airbus & Rolls-Royce. |

Oil and Gas Tubes |
|
Fine Tubes’ oil and gas tubing are used in the most
challenging subsea and down hole conditions in seawater
and sour oil well environments. Materials used are
Austenitic, Super Austenitic, Duplex, Super Duplex,
Titanium and Nickel Alloys. Seamless tubes are used for
hydraulic tube and instrumentation tubing and
chemical injection tubes, in onshore control panels,
topside processing facilities, on subsea manifolds and
templates up to 2,500m below the sea’s surface. Seam
welded & redrawn tubes with orbital joints are used for
subsea umbilical's, subsea
control lines and chemical injection tubes. We can
produce straight tubes or tube coils up to 10,000 m
long. |

Nuclear and Power Tubes |
|
Supplying the nuclear and power industry since the 1970s
with
nuclear fuel cans our product range has expanded to
support of PWR, CANDU and Fossil Fuel Power Generation.
Applications include fuel cladding, control rods, leak
detection, tie bars, canister tubes, poison tubes, vent
tubes, boiler tubes, ERW tubes, heater tubes and C
tubes, absorber tubes as well as control and
instrumentation tubing.
For the power industry generally, we provide a range of
products from turbine, steam generator tubes, condenser
tubes or cooling tubes to hollow conductors, heat
exchanger tubes to FGD applications. Our profile tubes
include rectangular tubes, square tubes and other
profiles.

Chemical Process Tubes |
|
Utilising Fine Tubes’ unique strength of being both a
welded tube and seamless tube manufacturer gives our
customers complete product flexibility in choosing
between a welded tube, a welded and cold drawn tube, a
seam free tube or a completely seamless tube. In the
chemical process industry our tubes are used in
applications for the shell and tube heat exchanger
tubes and flow meter tubes, tubes for measurement
systems, hydraulic tubes, pneumatic tubes, condenser
tubes as well as control and instrumentation tubing,
paper production tubes and tubes in acetic acid plants. |

Medical Tubes |
|
Fine Tubes offer medical tubes used in implants, surgical and
dental instruments such as biopsy needles, coronary stents,
endoscopy equipment, Marknagel, cannulas, spinal cages and trauma
nails in stainless steel and titanium alloys. High levels of ID and
OD surface finish, tolerance and ovality controls yield precision
tubes at competitive prices versus alternative gun drilled products.
For Medical tubes excellent strength to weight ratios, highest
levels in microbiological corrosion resistance and fatigue life are
critical. Our cold drawn seamless tubes offer the added benefit of
extremely high consistency, and can be supplied in 10ft (3m) lengths
optimized to work efficiently with bar feed set-ups. |

High Purity Tubes |
|
Fine
Tubes supply tubes covering all the standard sizes
required for manufacturing High Performance Liquid
Chromatography (HPLC) columns. Our
HPLC tubes is at the forefront of technology used in
chemistry and biochemistry, providing unparalleled peak
performance thanks to the innovative manufacturing and
process control methods we’ve developed. This market
requires equipment with specialty smooth ID and OD
conditions, and we offer tubes at an Ra of 0.35 microns
‘as drawn’, and below 0.20 microns Ra after electro
polishing. Our Ultra High Purity (UHP) tubes are used
throughout both the semiconductor wafer processing and
medical industries. Similar to HPLC these UHP clean bore
tubes are offered ‘as drawn’ at 0.40 microns Ra and
below 0.20 microns Ra after electro polishing. |
