systems, which have been used in projects throughout the UK and Europe.
We work with architects, designers and contractors throughout the UK and have
been involved in a wide range of both public and private sector construction
projects – including highly prestigious schemes such as the recently re-opened
London Monument and the London Guildhall refurbishment.
Green Wall System
Green Walls (sometimes called Living Walls) provide an
environmentally friendly, sustainable solution for design and construction
professionals. Drawing on combinations of products, including our stainless
steel wire ropes, rods and stainless steel mesh systems, our Green Wall system
allows architects to achieve a variety of designs on the vast majority of
building structures - achieving solutions that provide a range of aesthetic,
performance and cost benefits.
Each component in our range is manufactured from High Grade 316 Steel.
This gives complete quality assurance for the whole life of a building – making
the system suitable for even the harshest environments, including coastal
applications.
Where appropriate we work with a number of carefully selected strategic partners
to deliver complete projects of the highest quality, working established
companies who are expert in landscape design, planting schemes, cultivation,
irrigation systems and plant maintenance.
Wire Ropes, Rods and Webnet
As the UK’s sole agent for Jakob, we offer the broadest
range of high quality systems. Manufactured in Switzerland to
exacting quality standards, our range includes stainless steel wire ropes, rods
and fittings and Webnet, a stainless steel mesh system.

Wire Ropes
Jakob has been manufacturing high quality stainless steel
wire ropes for over 100 years, with a comprehensive range of ropes and fittings
suitable for a wide variety of applications.
With sizes ranging from 1mm right up to 26mm, our ropes are available in various
construction types, the precise manufacturing process ensuring that all products
are made to the nearest millimetre – as specified by the customer.
Our range of complementary end connectors is manufactured entirely in-house and
therefore subject to the same strict quality standards; the range provides great
scope to create design solutions for different applications.
Rods
Our rods are supplied in sizes ranging
from 6mm to 24mm, each manufactured to the same exacting quality standards as
our stainless steel wire ropes and which are ideal both for structural
applications, such as canopy supports, and design features, where aesthetics are
as important as technical performance.
Made from High Grade 316 Steel, Jakob Rods are perfect for outdoor use
and suitable for even the harshest environments, including coastal areas.
Should there be specific cost or performance parameters, we can also supply
hot-dipped galvanised rods; these rods are available in sizes from 10mm to
100mm, and up to 15m in length with a maximum limit tension load of up to
2900kN.
Our aesthetically designed Tension Rod System is approved by the European
Organisation for Technical Approvals; specifiers can therefore use this system
with complete confidence, without having to undergo additional time consuming
and costly approval procedures.
Webnet
Jakob Webnet is a versatile, pliable, high strength
mesh system manufactured from High Grade 316 stainless steel
wire rope. An innovative, highly durable product, Webnet may be used in many
different applications, including: balustrade infill, animal enclosures, art
forms, plant supports, safety nets, fencing and aviaries.
Webnet is available in a wide range of sizes and may be coated in any RAL
colour, to suit specific design and functional requirements. The system is both
UV and weather resistant - perfect for outdoor use and ideal for harsh
environments, including coastal areas.
