SAMSA is the Silica and Moulding Sands Association, founded in 1941. It remained an independent entity until the beginning of 2001 when it became a constituent body of the Mineral Products Association. SAMSA is a member of the Industrial Minerals Association of Europe (IMA) and makes a significant contribution to the operation of its Silica Section, Eurosil.
