In the first category Steitz Secura safety footwear is the biggest area and is often described by customers as the most comfortable footwear they have ever had. The styles range from lightweight, fashionable trainers to waterproof Goretex® lined boots for outdoor work.

Steitz footwear has many unique features including a choice of up to 4 width fittings, Vario® weight dependent heel cushioning and Vitality® sole cushioning for the ball of the foot to mention some of the most striking ones.

Severnside also have their own range of items for protecting chainsaw users, particularly in the forestry and arboricultural markets. This includes Francital clothing – trousers, jackets and bib'n'brace in a choice of outer materials including 'stretchy' water-repellent and high visibility as well as more traditional polycotton. Vulnerable areas are often strengthened with such high tec materials as Cordura®. Also for chainsaw users are boots from Steitz Secura, Treemme, Cofra and Century (Hunter) as well as a range of special gloves and helmet/muff/visor units.

A rather unusual set of products comes from Rubig in Austria and includes the Safety Linch Pin in a selection of hot drop forgings and fasteners. The linch pin has an agricultural origin but due to the superior qualities and features of the Rubig products has now found applications in more critical areas such as mining and military situations.
