Marking Systems |
|
One supplier for all your product marking
needs, if your requirements are just for a small chemical marking
system or all the way up to a fully automated laser marking system
we can provide product marking solutions for you.
We have many years of experience in this field and are supported by
a worldwide network of partners and agents. We can provide
consumable items and replacement parts for electrolytic, dot
Peening, scribing and laser marking systems. |
 |
|
Laser Marking |
|
Using a very precise laser
beam, a permanent mark can be created on the surface of a variety of
materials, such as metals and plastics. With the associated
software, there are no restrictions to your designs.
Our laser marking systems are also ideally suited to automated
marking such as consecutive part numbers, serial numbers, 2D codes
(Data Matrix), etc. |

Electrochemical
Marking |
|
The electrolytic marking process is
based on an electrochemical action. A stencil is positioned onto an
electrically conductive product, a marker is applied onto the
stencil, then the current and electrolyte react with each other to
create a permanent mark onto the part.
Depending on the type of material and the amount of current, the
results obtained with our marking systems can be black, white or
deep this process doesnt cause stress fractures and if the
correct post treatments are followed, there is no risk of corrosion.
The graphic design options are nearly unlimited. We have many
electrolytes available which are all tailored to different
materials, designed to achieve optimum results and provide the
customer with the high quality marks they require.
No acids or other dangerous solutions are used in this process. |

Dot Peening |
|
Tamperproof, tough, flexible...
With dot Peening systems (also known as percussion technology),
material is marked using a carbide tipped tool (needle) that
oscillates using compressed air and moves in an X and Y direction
during its upward and downward motion.
This creates a dense sequence of individual dots which are punched
into the material. Depending upon the needle frequency, a complete
line can be created.
Characters, numerals, logos and 2D codes (Data-Matrix) can be
marked in the field as required. |

 |
|
Scribing |
|
Scribing is a marking
technology closely related to dot Peening.
The difference is that the
mark when scribing is not punched into the material, but that
pressure is instead applied to a scribing needle, which moves over
the area to be marked. The result is a precise, clean mark,
consisting of a fine line and with low-noise operation.
It is important to have a reasonably level surface for scribe
marking.
Scriber heads also have two linear axes (like dot peelers), but have
a more stable design than pure dot Peening heads.
Because greater lateral
forces are created with needle scribing than with dot Peening,
scribing heads have a spindle drive instead of a belt drive. |

Data Matrix Marking |
|
The ideal additional to
our marking systems...
Directly applied 2D codes can be read with the help of handheld
scanners as well as with fixed camera systems.
Not only lasered but also dot peened and electrochemical codes are
securely recognised, even in the harsh industrial environments.
With the 2D Data Matrix code the information density per surface
area can be considerably increased in comparison to normal barcodes.
With the 2D code, the information is encoded as a series of points
in a square or rectangular area.
The code contains redundant data, so that, for example, the
Reed-Solomon error correction (ECC 200) can be used to automatically
correct up to 25 % of the errors in the individual elements. |
