BGA Assembly
BGA Assembly using the latest MYDATA tools such as Solder Jet Printing and MYDATA SMT placement machines. Our experienced engineers are fully conversant with the requirements for complex SMT and BGA assembly. Gemini has inherent strengths in BGA Assembly with a full range of tools such as 3D X-Ray, ERSAscope inspection and BGA re-work capability.

Advanced surface mount PCB assembly services with BGA & leadless devices: Gemini Tec manufacture SMT (Surface Mount) products using class-leading MYDATA surface mount technology equipment. We are best suited to complex high mix products that use BGA and leadless packages.

Gemini Tec have a dedicated MYDATA SMT machine for small quantity and rapid delivery orders, together with a fully automated MYDATA Synergy line for higher volume surface mount products.

Solder Jet Printing Technology for high yield products with BGA & leadless devices: We use a technically advanced and revolutionary process called Solder Jet Printing - this capability removes the need to use stencils in the manufacturing process and provides technical advantages to our products and commercial advantages to our customers.

Solder paste is applied on demand by our MYDATA MY500 solder jet printer, this ensures the correct volume of solder paste can be supplied to each component on the surface mount PCB without deviation. This level of accuracy ensures each device is reflow soldered to the PCB with the optimum conditions.

Commitment to high quality technology products: All our production staff are fully trained and certified to IPC standards allowing us to provide products in accordance with IPC610A Class 3. We use a wealth of supporting technology to ensure product compliance, including AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) 3D X-Ray and ERSAscope inspection (suitable for Ball Grid Array technology)

Full Turnkey Manufacturing Services: A range of CEM services are conducted within a modern and fully ESD controlled environment, based in Aldershot Hampshire.

PCB design layout is available in house using the latest Altium PCB design software. Our experienced design engineers are fully conversant with the requirements for high speed digital PCBs, using DDR2 with virtual via and net constraints to impedance controlled applications. Gemini has inherent strengths in surface mount & BGA assembly and all the required DFA/DFM expertise is applied.

Our manufacturing service includes finished product assembly with functional test and boundary scan test can be supported using X J-Tag tools. We have a range of skills and equipment to ensure our customers benefit from outsourcing their manufacturing, including, ultrasonic PCB cleaning & ionic contamination compliance, ERSA wave solder reflow process, ERSA BGA Assembly re-work & BGA re-balling, press fit assembly & automated cable and wire loom assembly.

Conformal coating is also available in house at Gemini using a selective spraying technology. Our PVA system uses the latest a robotic process to selectively coat materials onto PCB assemblies. A proven process that ensures quality coating at optimised production costs.
