MacInnes Metalworking Fluids
Are
you looking for a new cutting fluid? MacCool MP could be all you need. MacCool
MP compares very well with other metalworking fluids. It is a modern, long life
coolant suitable for use on a wide range of materials from aluminium alloys
through steels to aerospace alloys. It can be used on both manual and CNC
machines and is perfect for high coolant pressure systems due it’s low foaming
properties. MacCool MP is a semi translucent cutting fluid with a 50% oil
content for good corrosion control. Maccool MP contains synthetic lubricity
enhancers for excellent tool life and surface finishes. It is chlorine free,
sulphur free, triazine biocide free and sodium nitrite free Despite these
advantages MacCool MP is available at a quite competitive price in both 25 litre
and 205 litre containers.
To compliment the MacCool MP we stock a high quality ISO 60
grade slide way lube oil - MacLube 68D
Hangsterfer’s Metalworking Fluids
Perhaps you machine aerospace components, maybe automotive,
you need to know the coolant you use has approvals, has a reliable track record
and is capable of producing your components to the high standard you require.
Hangsterfer’s
best selling cutting fluid is S500CF. S500CF is approved by:-
Rolls Royce plc - Boeing Aircraft Corporation - Bombardier Aerospace - Lockheed
Martin. It is used throughout the world by Aerospace Manufacturers and
sub-contractors who require a coolant capable of working with the difficult
materials encountered in this industry. Tapping stainless steel on your
machining centre? No need for an optional stop to apply tapping oil, S500CF will
allow you to tap stainless without additional fluids. Reaming and fine boring as
well as heavy milling are carried out with ease. Nickel and titanium alloys are
not a problem. No need to worry about operator safety, S500CF is probably the
safest coolant you can buy, there is no small print, no biocides just below the
legal level for labeling. It is biocide free and has an LD50 figure over 15g/Kg
Neat cutting oils
Our
cutting fluid range includes MacOil 15, a 15 viscosity neat cutting oil for use
on sliding head lathes and similar machines. MacOil 15 is a 15 viscosity oil
which gives good penetration to the workzone and low dragout. MacOil 15 contains
synthetic lubricity and cutting enhancers for good tool life and surface finish.
MacOil 15 is a well priced product and offered in 205 litre drums. As well as
oils for re-circulating we stock Hangsterfer’s 525 tapping oil. A Rolls Royce
approved tapping oil that gives excellent results on stainless steel and other
difficult aerospace alloys. Available from stock in a box of 5 x 500ml bottles
and 19 litre Pails
Coolant
Mixing valves
It is essential that water mix metalworking fluids are
correctly mixed and a piston type valve is the most efficient and easiest way to
do it. Concentration is simply adjusted form 2% to 10% by means of a rotary
ring. The MiniDos 10 is a water driven valve for accurate mixing of cutting
fluid concentrate into water. It features a separate mixing chamber which means
the piston is not in contact with the chemical concentrate Mixing of the coolant
is done in an accurate and consistent manner, which in turn leads to a longer
sump life for your metalworking fluids
Coolant maintenance Equipment
Metalworking fluids have to contend with many contaminants,
non more so than the cutting fluid commonly known as coolant. From the first day
it is installed in the machine it is subjected to heat from the machining
process, cuttings, metal fines, tramp oil, and attack from unwanted
micro-organisms such as bacteria and fungus.
As
a user you have two choices, the money pit method of cleaning out the machine
and changing the cutting fluid every few months or you can maintain the cutting
fluid by installing maintenance equipment. Accustrip manufacture several types
of systems designed to treat metalworking fluids. These range from simple paper
band filters, tramp oil removal systems and central coolant treatment plants.
Installing an Accustrip central plant can increase in coolant life up to 5
years. Both tramp oil and fines removal is done automatically.
An Accustrip system leads to a dramatic reduction in coolant
maintenance costs Utilising a space saving design they are 1/10 the size of
conventional units which means a further reduction in costs as much less cutting
fluid is required for your machine shop.
