(Residential)
The most popular residential water softeners sold in the UK market are the non
electric Harvey’s Dual-Flo Block Salt Softeners.
It’s easy to see why, with the sleek design, compact size and ease of use.....no
more dragging or lifting 25 Kg bags of salt tablets!
Easy to use blocks of salt have replaced the old method... just put 2 blocks
into the front of the softener cabinet, and that’s it--- really simple to
operate. There is nothing to plug in....no timers to set.... and being non
electric, no worries about power cuts.
This straightforward operation provides you with constant conditioned water 24
hours a day.
The Dual-Flo non-electric water softener is a twin tank system that uses 2 resin
filled cylinders.
When your system is regenerating, there will therefore be no break in your soft
water supply, as one cylinder is regenerating; the second cylinder automatically
comes into service, providing you with an uninterrupted supply of conditioned
water.
Imagine the benefits of not having to worry about the damage caused by hard
water to your pipe work in your home or business.
Hard water impacts everything it comes into contact with.
Limescale is a concrete like formation which quickly builds up around the
heating element of your hot water cylinder, narrowing and restricting the flow
of water into your pipe work.
It’s a vicious circle where your boiler works harder to produce hot water to the
narrowed pipes that have become encrusted with Limescale deposit.
Clean, soft water will help your dishwasher, washing machine, hot water systems
and all plumbing work better and for longer.
Softened water uses up to 75% less soap and detergent, saving money on cleaning
products, laundry powders, shampoos and shower gels.
Detergents actually work more efficiently in soft water, so you will notice much
better laundry results.
Without scum or Limescale deposits around the inside of your sinks and baths,
etc...you will find cleaning so much simpler and be cleaning so much less. No
need to buy special Limescale removal cleaning agents. Also...Imagine never
having to unclog your blocked shower heads ever again!
Eczema sufferers will be pleased to know that following on from The Softened
Water Eczema Trial (SWET) Research Project, being carried out at the University
of Portsmouth; some excellent results have been seen so far. The trials are
ongoing and the final results will be due for release in January 2010, with
findings to be published in the medical journals......and so far there have been
some amazing and extremely encouraging results.....proving what has long been
known, that soft water is good for your skin....protecting your skin’s natural
oils, eliminating dryness and lessening the need for moisturising lotions.
