Access Audits |

We appreciate that it is very difficult for a client to know what to
expect from an access audit, especially as you may never have
commissioned one before.
Our professional access audits are thorough and will assess all the
physical elements of the environment, the accessibility of the
services being provided and very importantly emergency means of
escape for disabled people.
We will provide you with cost effective recommendations to any

Statements |

Do you need someone to write a robust access statement on your
behalf which will satisfy Building Controls? Where we feel we can
endorse a proposed scheme, we pride ourselves on having an excellent
success rate for approval.
We will provide you with an expertly written access statement in
support of your building controls application. This is where our
strong background in commercial design can really help with the
detail and wording of an access statement incorporating our integral
knowledge of the Building Regulations, British Standards and the
Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The access statement will
provide a detailed explanation of how inclusive design principles
have been considered and incorporated into the scheme. |

Design Appraisals |
|
We work with both large and small architectural practices to carry
out design appraisals and ongoing support of proposed design
schemes, prior to construction.
We understand the design process and will work with you to ensure
the integrity of your aesthetic aspirations.
The design appraisal will advise you of the physical accessibility
of the scheme and compliance with the design provisions in Approved
Document M of the Building Regulations, as a minimum standard and
also BS 8300:2009+A1:2010. It can also be used to help inform an
access statement. This can then be included in an access statement
as part of the history of the project and will document the reasons
as to why certain decisions were made. |
