Dorman Engineering Services Ltd is a small engineering workshop offering a wide range of engineering and design services like Jig Design to industry and private individuals alike.

Located in Loughborough in the East midlands we specialise in rapid turnaround high quality engineering production in a range of disciplines.

Utilising CNC turning and Milling powered by a top level CAD/CAM system we are able to fulfil requirements ranging from reverse engineering of obsolete components to full design/prototyping including one off machining and short batch runs. We also produce one off custom yokes, risers, brake calliper adaptors and other machined items for custom cars and motorbikes.

Using our suite of Solidworks 2011 CAD and the experience gained in a variety of industries including aerospace, motorsport and traditional injection tool making we can make Jig Designs, fixtures & other production/assembly tooling to suit your production requirements. We can mill in any material on our CNC mill. Using Solidworks 2011 CAD and Solidcam CAM we program the machine to cut from 2D profiling to full simultaneous 3 axis contouring. High quality of finish and tolerancing in all materials (including plastics and stainless steels) on both a one off and small batch basis.

Our mill turn centre can perform simultaneous milling and turning operations; including internal and external threading, pipe threads and general precision turning operations (to +/-0.005mm). The additional capacity of the driven tooling allows for the drilling of offset coaxial and radial holes, milling of features on the lathe and other operations which would otherwise require a separate operation to complete.

We perform general CAD design on a sub-contract basis, from product design & development to full reverse engineering of obsolete or unavailable components. We also offer full 3 axis CNC programming using our SolidCAM CAM system, also on a sub-contract basis.
