Paul and Kathy Blair, husband and wife and co-owners of UK Gutter Maintenance
Ltd were delighted when the opportunity presented itself in the Spring of
2008 to form their own specialist gutter cleaning company and have never looked
back since.

Between them the couple have over forty years experience working within
specialised service industries, over ten of which have been dedicated to gutter
cleaning activities. Both Paul and Kathy have a passionate belief in what their
company stands for and a refreshingly uncomplicated common sense approach to
managing their business. Their work ethic is based on teamwork and by placing a
greater reliance and responsibility on those who work with them they have
succeeded in achieving a consistently high and personal level of service that

Kathy Blair states “The structure and flexibility of UK Gutter Maintenance
means that we are able to work throughout the country in just about any
location, at relatively short notice and invariably do so as we not only provide
an emergency call out service for our National clients but work for several
National Helpdesks solely on a call out basis. This is proving to be an
invaluable service and as far as we are aware UK Gutter Maintenance Ltd
is the only company in the UK offering this type of service on such a major
scale.

We also recently formed a partnership with Eurosafe Solutions and on two
accounts can now offer substantial cost savings by having safety wire systems
tested at the same as carrying out gutter cleaning works. First and foremost
because we always work with a two man team Eurosafe only need to send one
operative to test the safety wire system, whilst a further saving can be made
where a boom lift is required for access as our 16.5m boom van is already on
site and included for within the price of the gutter clean.
We also offer a roofing service which we saw as a natural progression as we are
continually identifying roofing problems as well as guttering issues. This
provides UK Gutter Maintenance Ltd with the distinct commercial advantage
of being able to offer a truly complete package, which will appeal to anyone
looking for a one stop shop for all their roofing solutions”.

Upon receipt of any initial enquiry the company works with their clients to
tailor a package that suits their exact specification and requirements. All
works are allocated a named Project Manager and are carried out by experienced
two man teams who are directly employed, uniformed and fully qualified for
working at height.
All teams are supplied with liveried 16.5 m boom vans as a standard piece of
access equipment and are fully equipped with specialist safety equipment,
particularly for undertaking works on fragile roofs or where skylights are
present. Additional equipment is resourced to suit each individual task and the
appropriate team members are deployed to deliver a bespoke service to clients’
individual requirements.

Communication is seen as key to the company’s ongoing success and clients are
kept fully informed of progress before, during and upon completion of works.
Before and after digital photographs of all works are always provided together
with reports upon on any major defects found or areas of concern. Wherever
possible, should there be any minor defects found these are carried out before
leaving the site.

effective and the provision of photographs is the only way that they can
actually see that the work has been carried out. Unfortunately in our industry
there are too many people that do not do the work they have been brought in to
do. There have been many occasions when we have surveyed a job only to find that
the company last employed to do the gutter clean or repair work had not done it
properly, if at all”.
