Bespoke Constant
Force Springs
Essentially a tightly wound coil made from either spring steel or stainless
steel, when assembled onto a shaft constant force springs produce a constant
retraction force making them well suited for a range of applications where a
constant torque rewind system is required.
We manufacture constant force springs in widths of up to 150mm and strip
thicknesses from 0.05mm to 1.00mm. As well as the standard parts we have
available we also offer a design service so if this is an area that may be of

Custom Reload Wave Washer
Springs
Over the years we have gained an impressive reputation for the highly efficient
manufacturing service we provide for wave washer springs. Originally designed
for pre-loading bearings in electric motors, wave washer springs are now used
for many other applications in various other industries.
George Emmott (Pawsons) Ltd offers a comprehensive design and manufacturing
service for wave washer springs in diameters up to 400mm and thicknesses from
0.05mm to 4mm. They can be made with up to 12 waves from a wide range of
materials depending on your specific needs.

Clock Type Springs
Clock type springs were originally designed for use in clocks for storing energy
as the name suggests but more recently they have found use in various other
applications particularly for re-winding and counter balancing.
Available in three basic specifications, close coiled, close pre-stressed and
open coiled, clock type springs can be manufactured to meet your precise

We have the capacity to satisfy the needs of customers who require those larger

Materials
Springs can be made to order from a wide range of materials including some of
the more exotic alloys such as Inconel and Beryllium Copper.
Assembly
Assembly work is also undertaken where customer�s products and devices need to
be delivered in complete form once again making for a highly affordable supply
service.
