Protective Packaging specialise in providing climatic packaging solutions like foil bags, permitting the prevention of corrosion and the protection of dried products. Protective Packaging’s solutions are suitable for any applications and products which are susceptible to damage as a result of ingress of moisture, oxygen or aggressive gasses, extremes in temperature, odour transfer and ultraviolet light.

We manufacture an extensive range of barrier foil bags and liners from our aluminium barrier foil laminates; the laminate selected depends on the material properties required and the size of the bags and liners is calculated to suit individual applications. The barrier foil packaging can be used during storage and transit in order to protect machinery and metal goods from corrosion or to prevent the deterioration of dried products, such as food ingredients, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, for example.

Formats available include 3 dimensional bags, FIBC, drum and octabin liners, pouches and 25kg sacks.

Dimensional Bags - tailor made to suit. Provide the item size & we’ll calculate the rest for you.

Desiccant - we supply silica gel, activated clay and molecular sieve.

Heat Sealing Equipment - we offer a range of heat sealing equipment for use with foils and thermoplastics. From the small user up to large scale manufacturing operations.

Case Lining - cross woven lining material, 100% waterproof and tear resistant, an ideal alternative for materials such as Kraft union or roofing felt.

Self Adhesive Cushioning - a simple solution to provide cushion protection in foil bags. Sticks directly to rough sawn timber.

Skidmate Pallet Cushions – eliminate shock and vibration damage. Simple effective solution, easy to fit allows pallet runners to be replaced.

Humidity Indicators - to monitor the humidity levels within the barrier foil bag.

Shockwatch & Tiltwatch Indicators - detect mishandling or damage during transit and promote careful handling at all times.

Protective Packaging Limited manufacture a broad range of Barrier Foil Bags, Liners and Moisture Barrier Bags which provide protection for granules and powders. The different formats include;-

Round Bottom Drum Liners – we manufacture an extensive range of drum diameters which allow the drums to be re-used or recycled as clean waste. The round bottom design ensures a perfect fit and reduces waste product.

Octabin Liners – Custom made liners to suit any size of container. This economical method of transporting bulk powders, granules and flakes will provide total protection for the contents.

F.I.B.C. Liners – can be manufactured with top and bottom spouts. Using an FIBC combined with a Barrier Foil liner can offer a material cost saving over drums and shipping space efficiency can be improved.

HD Corrugated Box Liners – tailor made for any moisture sensitive product. A range of materials are available to provide the best solution for each application.

25kg Gusseted and Vented Sacks – A Barrier Foil sack providing the ultimate water vapour and oxygen barrier for moisture sensitive products. The sacks can be fitted with a one-way degassing valve which allows air extraction and pressure equalisation to improve pallet loading.

Valve filling sacks - With no minimum order quantity and short lead times, these sacks provide the perfect alternative to polythene and paper sacks for products requiring a total barrier.

ISO Container Liner – used for a wide range of dry bulk materials which are susceptible to damage from moisture/oxygen ingress. The ProtectAtainer is suitable for 20’, 30’ and 40’ containers and the tailor made liner includes bulkhead, filling/discharge and venting features.

At Protective Packaging we manufacture our Foil Bags and Liners to individual specifications to suit the style and dimensions of the outer packaging. No matter how large or small we have the capability to provide the climatic packaging solution. There is also no minimum order quantity.
