for the building services contractor. Our main success is providing detailed
Estimating Services; Mechanical estimates & Electrical estimates over the past 15 years for
contractors based all over the UK and Ireland, ranging anywhere between £10K to
£10 Million. Previously known as Estel, S G Estimating has adapted its
Mechanical & Electrical estimating service over the years to allow us to produce
detailed, competitive tenders with a view to winning the contract for our
client, within the shortest deadlines. |

The tailored Mechanical & Electrical estimating service that we now provide
today was created originally by Peter Bishop with the company name "Estel" over
15 years ago. Estel has built up a good reputation within the contracting
industry for providing quality, detailed Estimating Services within tight
timescales. Estel began by providing Electrical estimating services only, with
detailed reports along with detailed summaries and tender notes/clarifications,
which provided clients with a complete Electrical estimating service.
 With the growth of the company and the Electrical estimating service, Estel soon
added its Mechanical estimating cap, providing separate or combined Mechanical &
Electrical estimates. Simon Gesese joined the company in 1998 as an Electrical
estimator, later on becoming manager to then be made a director of the company
in 2006. In 2007 S G Estimating was established to take over from Estel
Estimating due to Peter Bishop’s unfortunate quick turn of ill health. The
company has continued to improve its Mechanical & Electrical estimating service,
to our client’s particular requirements. |

We
have simple to understand service charges, depending on the requirements for
your particular project.

Prices Are Used In The Estimate Reports?
We use
SEC Estimating Software, where prices are taken direct from the manufacturers,
and consists of over 380,000 items which are all updated on a weekly basis.
Do
Material Costs Include Discounts?
Yes,
an average discount percentage is linked to most items on our database,
formulated from clients and suppliers over the years.
Can
You Incorporate Our Preferential Discounts?
Yes,
if they are provided to us in advance of completing the estimate report.
Do You
Obtain Specified Manufacturer's Quotations?
Yes,
and with any suppliers or sub-contractors that are not specified, we will use
your list of preferred suppliers & sub contractors.
Do You
Include a Labour Rate On The Report?
Yes,
in man hours, but only as a guide and to obtain a total for invoicing purposes.
This can be changed at your request for the final report which is sent to you.
Do You
Charge For Alterations And Amendments After Completion?
Not
within reason. Minor changes to the original report will all be included in the
Original Service Charge.
Do You
Keep The Documentation After Completion Of The Report?
Yes,
all documents, drawings, enquiries sent, quotations received are kept for one
year in filing. After a year they will all be destroyed unless previously
requested by the client that they want them returned.
