Popular standards include BS970, BS4659, EN10083, Werkstoff, DIN, ISO, AISI, ASTM specifications. Our stock range includes tool, stainless and duplex stainless steel, alloy and engineering, spring, manganese steel plate, cast iron, high speed steel and tool bits, precision ground bar, flame cut blanks.

Specifications.
We shall endeavour to identify your steel specification requirement and offer either the exact grade or equivalent grade. If it is not available we will try to offer a near alternative specification. Please provide details of the specification and the sizes and quantities required when enquiring with our sales team.

Tool Steel.
Our stock range includes tool steel grades, suitable for cold work, hot work, and plastic mould applications, and high speed specifications. It is stocked in a wide variety of shapes and sizes Ground tool products are supplied such as Silver Steel and Ground Flat Stock. Grades M2 and M42 High Speed tool bits are supplied in standard and non standard sizes.

Stainless Steel.
Available in the austenitic, precipitation hardening and martensitic varieties, including specifications 17/4PH, FV520B, 440B & 440C. Duplex Stainless and Super Duplex Stainless Steel plus the full range of 300 and 400 series grades.

Duplex stainless steel is designed to combine improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, crevice corrosion and high strength when compared with other stainless alloys. With its austenitic ferritic chromium, nickel, molybdenum composition duplex alloy resists chloride environments and sulphide stress corrosion. UNS S31803 is our most common duplex grade. Also available is super duplex in grades UNS S32760 & UNS S32750.

Carbon & Alloy Steel
Comprehensive stocks are held in a wide range of carbon and alloy engineering steel specifications. British Standard (BS970) and International specifications available. Carbon, Alloy & Engineering Steel specifications can be supplied in round bar, flat bar, plate and sheet.

Spring Steel.
This is stocked in a wide range of sizes. Carbon steel strip and spring steel sheet is available most commonly in the hardened and tempered condition, though sizes are available in the annealed condition. Round and flat engineering grade bar is stocked in the as rolled condition. Most specifications are held to British Standard including BS1449 & BS970. Stock of spring temper rolled stainless is available, supplied in grade 301 stainless austenitic stainless steel. They are also stocked in 420 martensitic stainless steel specification.

High Manganese Steel Plate
11 to 14% manganese steel plate with excellent work hardening properties. X120Mn12 is suitable for wear applications where high impact/gouging abrasion leads to a work hardening effect. X120Mn12 manganese plate can be cut by plasma or laser profiling. X120Mn12 high manganese is a non magnetic, work hardening abrasion resistant engineering plate, supplied in full plates or as cut pieces.

Cast Iron
Stocks held in continuous cast iron bar, offering a finer grain structure and graphite distribution than sand cast iron bar. We can supply cast iron round bar in 3 metre lengths or as cut pieces. Square and flat bar can be supplied as cut pieces to your required sizes. Cast Iron grades include BS2789 420/7 600/7, BS1452 Grade 220, 250, 260, Mehanite, Grey Iron & Spheroidal Graphite SG Iron.

High Speed Steel Toolbits
Available in specifications BS4659 M2 and M42. Available in standard stock sizes. Non standard sizes can be produced to suit your requirements.

Precision Ground Steel Bar
All grades (including tool, carbon, alloy, engineering, stainless and duplex stainless steel) can be produced as ground bar to your specific sizes and requirements.

Flame Cutting
Carbon grades including mild steel, EN8, EN9, EN43 can be supplied flame cut and normalised.

Key Steel
A medium carbon engineering steel. It is supplied bright drawn in square and flat bar, to tolerances as stipulated in BS46.

AISI steel specifications & SAE steel specifications
AISI & SAE grades are popular in the UK for their use in the oil and gas industries. AISI & SAE steel specifications include stainless steel, carbon and alloy engineering steel grades.

Werkstoff & DIN steel specifications
European steel specifications are most popular in Werkstoff steel and DIN standards.

Reassessment is ongoing to ensure the continuous supply of quality products and a continued commitment to service and quality. All products can be supplied with either a Certificate of Conformity, Material Certificate or 3.1b Mill Certificate.
