By choosing Websters
Insulation Ltd to insulate your roof and / or walls, you can relax in the
knowledge that over 30 years experience and only the best materials are put into
every job we do.
Spray foam insulation has been proven to be one of the most efficient and
therefore most effective forms of insulation on the market today, and our team
of engineers are some of the most highly trained professionals in our industry.
We specialise in numerous market areas including domestic applications, i.e.
house roofs (under tiles / slates / felt etc), cavity walls, under floor and
internal wall insulation.

As loft conversions become
increasingly popular amongst homeowners and property developers alike, the
demand for the most effective and affordable insulation has also increased. We
can insulate most loft conversions in less than a day and due to the unique way
the foam is applied, almost no waste is produced. When compared to the task of
having to cut and shape insulated boards to fit in your roof space, the
Websters method should be the obvious choice.

We are also one of the UK’s
leading exponents in industrial thermal insulation, retail insulation and
commercial insulation applications for companies such as Balfour Beatty,
Carillion and IKEA (Coventry) to name but a few.

Insulation – ECO friendly in more ways than you thought!
There has never been a more
demanding time to save energy in your home or workplace, and the challenge of
how to do so isn’t an easy one, especially when faced with an older or
inefficient building design. Building control measures have recently been
introduced to combat the effects of poorer building design, in an effort to make
new and existing buildings as energy efficient as possible.
One of the measures that has been introduced is a new code system, ranging from
code 1 to code 6. The code system measures how environmentally friendly a
building really is, from the materials used, right up to the energy consumption
used and how much of that energy is being wasted. These codes are essentially an
extension of the current, already stringent, building regulations, and will
apply to all new builds as well as all existing conversions.
At the bottom end of the scale is code 1, a notch up above standard building
requirements. Code 1 is at the lower end of the scale, whereas a code 6 home has
to have a zero carbon output and be self-sustainable, something which isn’t
easy! Code 3 is a much more achievable middle ground, with the emphasis being on
making the building as air tight as possible to preserve heat and energy.

So where do
Websters Insulation come into all this?
The code system looks at many
aspects of the building efficiency, one of them being the air tightness of the
roof and walls. Therefore the more airtight the building is, the less likely
precious heat energy will be wasted, therefore achieving a better rating all
round. By spraying right up to the roof joists and wall studs, we guarantee to
seal completely.
Our polyurethane (PU) foam system makes any surface we spray onto air tight and
is one of the most, if not already the most efficient insulation material known
today, so much so that we can achieve a code 3 rating by making your roof and
walls air tight with a continuous membrane of PU foam. The closed-cell structure
of the foam is the key to keeping the air in, and also any draughts out.
The foam we use conforms to all UK building regulations and fire standards,
carrying a BS 476 part 7 Class 1 rating; our Webtherm foam system is the
entry-level insulation system to meet even the toughest demands. We also offer a
Class 0 rated fire protective foam system known as ‘Pirthane’, again
tested and conforming to all current UK building regulations and fire standards.
Cavity Wall Insulation
We offer a highly effective solution for
cavity wall insulation in the form of injected rigid polyurethane foam, very
similar to our sprayed product but takes longer to react and go rigid allowing
for a very controlled and stable application. See the table below for
comparisons to one of the other popular forms of insulation.
