Long before we started making sinks we used our expertise to make cannons. That’s right; the heavy artillery kind used by the army and navy and featured in Edinburgh castle for example. Later Carron turned its expertise to making Britain’s famous red telephone boxes and post boxes. In a first entry into the kitchen industry the Carron brand was associated with top quality cookers before the introduction of stainless steel kitchen sinks in 1962.
