BOPP Film |
|
We
have been producing BOPP films since 1971 using a unique bubble
process. Bubble produced BOPP film has balanced dimensional
stability and mechanical properties. Our BOPP films are sold under a
range of brands - Propafilm™ for packaging, Rayoface™ for labels and
RayoForm™ for In Mould Labelling. BOPP films can be used for
overwrap, flow wrap, vertical form fill and seal. Some offer
anti-mist, ‘breathable’ and shrink-tightening properties and are
available in transparent, white or metallised formats. |
 |
|
BOPP film of
choice
Propafilm™ OS, has been selected by
global confectionery manufacturer, Ferrero, to overwrap boxes of its
Rondnoir chocolates.
Propafilm™ OS is a high-speed, transparent, overwrapping film
manufactured using Innovia Films’ unique bubble process. It has
balanced shrink tightening properties and offers a sparkling pack
appearance.
In addition Propafilm™ OS can significantly increase product
shelf life owing to the superb water vapour, flavour and aroma
barrier properties it can offer. |

Cellulose Film |
|
The
cellulose based films we produce are made from wood pulp, a
renewable resource. Our main cellulose brands include Cellophane™, a
transparent paper, produced by us since 1933 and its compostable
‘sister’, NatureFlex™ introduced some 70 years later in 2003.
Cellulose films are perfect for twist wrap applications such as
confectionery, as they have excellent deadfold and are heat
resistant with inherent anti-static properties. They are available
in clear, white, metallised and coloured varieties. |

Labels |
|
Innovia Films has more than 20 years’ experience in the
pressure-sensitive industry and during this time we have maintained
our leading global position in the supply of filmic label substrates
to the market.
We have continually strived to sustain our innovation expertise
through the introduction of new materials into the
pressure-sensitive arena, building on our first to market, Rayoface™
CPA high clarity films for ‘no-label-look’ applications.
|
 |
|
Developments include high lustre Rayofoil™ MCPA metallised films and
Rayoweb™ CR films for release liners, along with UV stabilised
Rayoart™ CGS/WGS films for outdoor applications and a range of films
for industrial/durable uses (Rayoface™ VTT and WTT).
The technical performance of our comprehensive portfolio of
digitally printable BOPP substrates has gained worldwide
recognition; we are a Global HP Indigo® Preferred Media Partner.
NatureFlex™ compostable label facestock films, made from renewable
resources have expanded our collection, offering a choice for those
requiring completely compostable packaging constructions.
More recently, new RayoForm™ In Mould Labelling (IML) films were
launched offering high machine direction stiffness and allowing
downgauging versus many competitive products. This year we will
again expand our IML product portfolio with the introduction of new
substrates for the Thermoforming IML labels market and low
distortion IML films for injection moulding. |

Packaging |
|
Innovia
Films has been providing Cellulose films to the packaging industry
for over 75 years and BOPP films for over 40 years. During this time
we have worked with our customers and continued to develop films for
specific applications and with distinctive properties.
New NatureFlex™ Film
NatureFlex™ cellulose films are certified to meet the European EN
13432, American ASTM D6400 and Australian AS4736 composting norms. |
 |
|
A recent
launch, NatureFlex™ N913 is the first of a brand new family of
films, which comprises NatureFlex™ together with a proprietary
sealant layer. The advantages of NatureFlex™ N913 include an
excellent barrier to moisture and a good barrier to gases and
aromas, in addition to enhanced sealability and seal integrity.
NatureFlex™ N913 film is ideal for many products that require
exceptional packaging performance in both ‘moist’ and ‘dry’ areas
including meat, cheese, cereals, confectionery, fresh produce,
snacks, household products and personal care items. |

Innovia Films has over 70 years’ experience of supplying flexible
films to the tobacco industry. Our products are used by more than
150 tobacco factories globally.
Our BOPP shrink tightening films used for cigarette unit packs (Propafilm™)
are regarded as the industry’s benchmark for clarity and wrap
tightness. Recently the focus has been on the development of the
widest range of products for clear collation. These meet the
market's requirements for downgauging and minimising waste. |
 |
|
These now include standard acrylic films, shrink tightening films,
Snap Wrap easy opening films, peelable films and uncoated collation
films.
In addition to our existing portfolio, our latest developments in
tobacco films introduce benefits directly to the consumer with high
clarity, easy release and soft look films. Renewable and compostable
films (NatureFlex™) for pouches and sachets are another area where
our technology can be applied to the tobacco industry. |
