Ascott is a major manufacturer of corrosion test chambers, which include salt spray and cyclic corrosion test (CCT) chambers. These products are used to test the corrosion resistance of products and materials under simulated and precisely controlled conditions, within the convenience of a laboratory.

Ascott test chambers are at the cutting-edge of innovation and latest technology. Our current product range reflects this innovation in their physical design, which carefully blends good ergonomics with an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The high-tech touch-screen control system, coupled with our own intuitive operating software, also ensures the chambers are as easy to program as they are to use.

The test chambers are complemented with a range of optional accessories and services, which includes Corro-Salt: our purest quality salt for salt spray testing, and our in-house corrosion testing services.

Products

Salt Spray Test Chambers – we offer a range of four sizes, a bench-top 120L capacity model and three floor standing model sizes: 450L, 1000L & 2000L. These are designed to comply with international test standards for salt spray testing. Two model specifications are offered. Our Standard models are for continuous salt spray testing in accordance with basic standards such as ASTM B117. Our Premium models are for ‘modified’ salt spray tests such as ASTM G85, which usually combine salt spray with at least one other climate.

Cyclic Corrosion Test (CCT) Chambers – available in three floor-standing model sizes: 450L, 1000L & 2000L, CCT chambers are designed to generate a combination of corrosive climates in a sequence, or corrosion cycle, for automatic execution. Ascott CCT chambers are supplied as standard with the ability to generate and sequence up to four difference climates: salt spray, air drying, condensation (wetting) and controlled humidity – any of which may be selected at various temperatures and durations to create multiple CCT programmes,. Such testing is often required to comply with international test standards such as VDA 621-415. A wide range of additional climates, such as SO2 gas dosing, and accessories such as refrigeration are offered as optional accessories, making Ascott CCT chambers the most flexible and adaptable on the market.

Corrosion Testing – Located within our UK manufacturing facility, we can offer commercial corrosion testing to those customers who are not yet in a position to purchase their own corrosion test chamber, or who’s needs are intermittent. Whether standard salt spray or complex cyclic corrosion testing is required, we are likely to be able to accommodate such requirements within our suite of on-site test chambers. Such testing is quoted on request, against specific customer requirements.

Corro-Salt – This very pure sodium chloride (NaCl) is formulated specifically for use in salt spray testing. The pure salt crystals will dissolve quickly in water to create a stable and homogeneous salt solution (brine) in accordance with the strict purity requirement of international salt spray test standards such as ISO 9227. Available in 25KG drums and bags.
