was first established in 1850 and is still headed by a member of the
founding Wright family. From a small Bradford-based supplier to
Yorkshire’s nineteenth century textile factories Thorite has grown

We now supply air compressors and air tools to a wide range of
manufacturing and service industries from our Bradford National
Distribution Centre, supported by a network of eight Sales/Service
 Centres
located throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire and the North East. We also

systems, especially for the printing, food processing,
pharmaceuticals and packaging industries. We have recently augmented
our £1million+ stockholding to include hydraulic products and

of 100 highly trained sales, engineering and support staff. This
enables us to provide our customers with a complete service which
includes both simple and comprehensive compressor maintenance
packages designed to keep production flowing, plus the creation,
installation and servicing of complex industrial handling/processing
schemes
Although proud of our 160 year heritage, at Thorite we rely on
tomorrow’s technology to ensure customer service is of the highest
quality possible. Our IT network is constantly being updated and an
advanced system called Dimensions represents our latest
breakthrough, which is designed to offer faster quoting, simplified
ordering and improved delivery. A unique pricing structure lets our
customers compare our costs with those of competitors and a Customer
Relationship Management system builds precise customer profiles,
which enables news of products of interest to individual clients to
be despatched on a regular basis. Dimensions also streamlines the
process of online purchasing from our popular webstore, with simpler
payment procedures and constantly updated prices and stock
information, plus order tracking and transaction summaries. |

Our service department exists not just
to keep your compressed air products and systems in the best of
health, but to save you money too. Some of our customers are now
saving in excess of £7000 per annum, by taking advantage of our
Compressed Air Audits and Survey service. It is not widely known
that a 3mm dia. air leak can result in a cost of £600 each year, or
that throughout the country compressed air system leakage rates of
around 40% are the norm rather than the exception. Our experienced
engineers can be called in to undertake a complete compressed air
audit, produce a detailed report which pinpoints all leaks,
prioritises them by the volume of air they are wasting and
identifies the cost of repairing them – and full pay back is
normally achieved in a few months. |
